$0 Prescriptions and Healthy Foods Benefit
For individuals eligible for Medicare and Medicaid, our Dual Eligible Special Needs plans (D-SNPs) are newly designed to make Part D prescriptions and healthy foods more affordable!
Our Medicare Advantage plans are designed to help our members live better, healthier lives. Starting in 2023, $0 prescription copays and a healthy foods benefit have been added to all D-SNP plans.
We know that taking medications as prescribed is critical to your health so our D-SNPs* are waiving the cost for all covered prescriptions. That’s right, our D-SNPs* now offer $0 prescription copays, all year long, in all benefit phases! There’s no deductible and no copay for all covered generic and brand Part D prescriptions.
Healthy and nutritious foods are also more affordable with our new healthy foods card! D-SNP* members automatically receive a prepaid debit card to buy healthy foods at certain retailers, both in-store and online. No prior authorization or referral is needed. The debit card is prepaid with a set amount of funds to be used each month ($25 or $50, varying by plan). Any unused funds will not carry over into the next month.
In addition to these new benefits, Wellness and Healthcare Planning services, including Advanced Care Planning (ACP), are already available as part of our D-SNPs. ACP means having conversations, and making decisions about, the care you would like to receive in the future. We want to make sure you know these services are available on our D-SNPs in case you need them.
$0 prescription copays and healthy foods benefits are just some of the ways our Medicare Advantage plans and supplemental benefits support our member’s whole health. To learn more about these benefits and more, see the plan’s Evidence of Coverage (EOC).
